Italy participates in the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (Dubai, 30 November – 12 December)

The main issues that COP28 in Dubai will have to address are: the first Global Stocktake, (GST - mechanism for reviewing countries' commitments based on the analysis of where countries collectively are in relation to their commitments), on the implementation of the Paris Agreement ; a comprehensive implementation agreement on the Global Goal on Adaptation, (GGA); the creation of a fund for losses and damages, (Loss & Damage), for developing countries affected by climate change.

The role that Italy will play at COP 28 is not only based on the Italian government's commitment to promoting the Paris Agreement in all international scenarios, but also in valorizing, as much as possible, the experiences and good practices of the many stakeholders of our country, committed to combating climate change. For this reason, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security will host 53 thematic events in its pavilion within the Conference.

They will be organized by Universities, Research centers, Foundations, NGOs, Regions and Italian Companies, who will present and discuss experiences and concrete actions that address the global challenges of climate change and sustainable development.

All events will be streamed live on the MASE's YouTube channel.
