As many solar photovoltaic systems implementations target rooftop applications, the Higher Council for Urban Planning issued decision 32/2019 to support the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on buildings’ rooftops. The decision assures that “the installation of solar panels on the rooftop of the last floor of the building is not considered as part of the investment as long as the maximum height of the solar installations do not exceed 3 meters in buildings that have a total height of 15 meters. The solar installations should not exceed 4.5 meters in buildings that have a total height of more than 15 meters”. This decision by the Higher Council is to promote and facilitate the installation of solar systems all over Lebanon.
