The Italian Ministry for the Environment contributes to various Trust Fund at the World Bank with the objective of promoting sustainable development in the developing countries, renewable energies and a stronger awareness at global level on the environment and climate change issues.

In particular, Italy participates to the following Funds:

• AGREED (Africa’s Green and Climate Resilient Development)
• Lighting Global
• PPP (Off-Grid Public-Private Partnership)
