The 1 MW BRSS solar PV farm is in operation since two years now, producing and exporting electricity to the national electric grid of Electricité du Liban (EDL). A full monitoring system of the BRSS farm has allowed the collection of live data on the solar irradiance, productivity and efficiency of the plant. The LCEC team is preparing a full study of the BRSS output, including detailed data to be available for academic and scientific research for the first time in the history of Lebanon. The study will be published soon. The BRSS is fully maintained by the LCEC, including a cleaning plan (4 scheduled cleaning visits per year) based on the efficiency of the solar farm.
