Counterpart: Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF)

Funding: 3 million euros, expandable
Areas of intervention:

• Promotion and development of initiatives in renewable energy and energy efficiency to achieve the goals set by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for greenhouse gas reduction: activities will primarily focus on the industrial, tourism, and domestic and public construction sectors (including schools and hospitals).
•  Support to JREEEF to enhance its capacity in managing the financial and commercial aspects of environmental economics, as well as in project implementation and international networking. This support will also involve the exchange and transfer of knowledge and skills
• Raising awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy issues.
• Promotion, including through the valorization of Italian expertise, of new technologies capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting adaptation processes.
