Climate Change - Italy is an active participant in Cop 27 in Egypt
Italy participates in the 27th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (Sharm el Sheikh, Nov. 6-18) in the belief that it is a decisive step towards implementing the historic Paris Agreement.
The role that Italy will play at Cop 27 is not only based on the Italian government's commitment to promoting the Paris Agreement in all international scenarios but also in enhancing the experiences and best practices of the many Italian stakeholders engaged in the fight against climate change. For this reason, the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security will host forty-one thematic events at its pavilion during the conference.
Events will be organized by Italian universities, research centers, foundations, NGOs, regions, and companies, who will present and discuss concrete experiences and actions that cross the global challenges of climate change and sustainable development.
There will also be numerous opportunities for discussion promoted by the Ministry itself, as well as by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, by the Italian Agency for International Cooperation, in collaboration or with the participation of United Nations agencies and leading players on the international scene.
